South Island Latin Championship 2026
What a weekend for Latin Fire at the South Island Latin Championships 2026! Our students who competed throughout the day in the freestyle, choreographed, solos, duets and teams sections! Congratulations to all those who competed, especially those who placed, you all looked amazing and did your dance schools proud!
The Latin Fire competitors performed amazingly with numerous placings. Our shines teams took out both the Latin Shines Team category and the Salsa Shines Team category, our soloists won the Debut Solo, Youth Salsa Solo and both the Open Salsa and Open Latin Solo categories as well as the Open Duet category!

We are so proud of or amazing competition dancers who continue to put in the hours, challenge themselves and support each other every step of the way. Behind every performance are countless hours of practice, determination, teamwork, laughter and a whole lot of passion!
