Richard started dancing in 2008 after realising the 'dreaded' first wedding dance was fast approaching.
A self professed owner of '2 left feet' left Richard quickly mastered Merengue.
He continued on with Salsa classes with his wife Shannon & realised his background in military drill teams helped with his timing & technique.
Richard is known on the social dance floor for his shenanigans and dancing with two ladies at a time.
Richard joined our instructors team in 2012 and is known for his precise & concise ability to help beginners with breaking down moves.
We love having Richard in our instructors team and he is an important part of Latin Fire Dance Academy, Christchurch.
Awesome to see you and the Latin Fire team on the weekend!
Your performances were spectacular and it was so good to see you all out on the social floor!
Warren especially looked like he was in Heaven!
And I told Saione it was wonderful to also see how much Latin Fire had grown and changed in the last twelve months!
Such a big team coming up to support the Congress and show the rest of NZ that Chch is BACK BABY!
Over the past years I have been fortunate enough to travel a fair bit to NZ and spend some very valuable time with long-time friends/dancers.
One thing that always stands out to me is how some schools are more like families.
Latin Fire is exactly this !!!
Each person in the team supports the other. They dance together, they party together, they hang out together. It’s like they live for each other. It’s no wonder that success breathes through such strong dance families… and I mean success in a bigger sense than competition success.
