Latin Fire's dance troupe is an award-winning explosive group of dancers who have won New Zealand top placing at Jambalaya, Rotorua 2006, 2nd at South Island Salsa Competition 2007, 1st at South Island Salsa Competition 2008, 2009 & 2010 and earned International Selections at the NZ/Pacific Salsa Congress 2007, 2008 & 2010.
For 3 years in a row they have impressed NZ & Australian judges and been given the opportunity to represent NZ Salsa at the international Sydney Salsa Congress 2007,2008, 2009 & 2011. They also performed at the prestigious Byron Latin Fiesta in Byron Bay, Australia 2009.
'Jaime Jesus' from 'Latin Dance Australia' said the following about Donna & Warren's Team at the NZ/Pacific Salsa Selections 2007,
"The Team that got the highest points displayed everything, Salsa, something different, energy & from the moment they started they had me wanting to get out of my seat".
As well as Competitions & Selections they also regularly perform for private and corporate functions and events.
With Donna's background in Ballet, Jazz and Musical Theatre with Showbiz Christchurch, their routines are very colourful, dynamic & most of all entertaining for any audience!!
They have performed for ASB Starry Nights, Sydney Salsa Congress 2007 & 2008, 2009 and NZ Pacific Salsa Congress 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Riccarton Cup week, Buena Vista Social Club, Te Papa Wellington, Tauranga Bay Salsa Festival, Blenheim Showcase plus , many, many Corporate Events.
Their dance routines range from Michel Buble's sultry ChaCha to Fever, a Nite Club Scene dance to Copacabana, a hot & fast Samba routine, a sexy Bachata, to their dynamic, fast paced Salsa routine they will be performing in Sydney & more!
